Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Medium Potatoes; Shredded
  • ½ Onion; Chopped
  • ¼ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Vegetable Oil; Frying

Instructions

  1. Drain and dry the shredded potatoes then place them in a bowl. Add in the onions, flour, egg and mix till everything is well incorporated.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan over medium high heat. Once the oil is hot enough take a scoop of the potato mixture and add it into the pan. The potatoes should be about ½ inches in thickness.
  3. You can add more of the potato mixture into the pan till the pan is filled up. Cook the potato cakes till they are nice and brown on both sides. 5 minutes on each side should do the tick.
  4. Once the potatoes are ready, remove and place them on a paper towel to drain the excess oil. Repeat with the remaining potato mixture.
  5. When it is done, plate up and serve immediately. Enjoy!
