I couldn’t get enough of this cheesy dip recipe. I found myself dipping everything into it — crackers, pretzels, broccoli. You name it. If it was on my plate, it probably got dipped. When I decided to make this recipe for dip at home, I was definitely impressed with how easy it is to put together. Just a few simple ingredients and viola! Heaven in a bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1 8ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 6 ounces Havarti cheese, shredded (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 10ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 14ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • Parmesan cheese shards
  • Assorted dippers: cut up vegetables, tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, flat breads, and/or crackers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl beat cream cheese, sour cream, havarti, mustard, and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese with an electric mixer until combined.
  2. Fold in spinach and artichoke hearts. Transfer to an 8-inch diameter by 2-inch deep cast-iron skillet or 1 1/2-quart casserole*. Spread evenly. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degrees F oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with Parmesan shards and serve with assorted dippers.

Notes

  • * Divide between 2-3 smaller oven-safe dishes and bake in batches. Baking time will decrease by 5 to 10 minutes.
