This is an super simple and excellent Pizza Dip, serve with french bread and a good glass of red wine! Very addictive! I always make two batches if there is a crowd as it disappears quickly. A pizza dip is obviously good, but feel free to customize your own pizza dip? That will make it extra special and take it to the next-level of good. This dip is super simple to make, and everyone will love it. I used pepperoni but use whatever types of topping that you prefer! The possibilities are limitless.

Serve this with some crusty French Bread, yummy Cheesy Garlic Bread or homemade Ciabatta Bread. Add in a garden fresh salad and what a perfect meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces light cream cheese (about boxes)
  • ¾ tsp. dried oregano
  • ¾ tsp. dried parsley
  • ¼ tsp. dried basil
  • 2 (8-oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 2 tsp. dried basil
  • ½ tsp. sugar
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ½ cup powdered parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup pepperoni
  • any other toppings you like!
  • French bread slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Spray the bottom of a 1½ quart casserole dish with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. Mix together cream cheese, oregano, parsley and basil in a small bowl. Spread herbed cream cheese on the bottom of prepared dish. Layer with ½ cup mozzarella cheese and ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese.
  3. In another medium sized bowl, mix together tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, sugar and garlic powder. Pour over cheese layer in dish. Cover with the remaining cheeses. Top with pepperoni and any other toppings desired.
  4. Place in preheated oven and bake for 15 mins or until heated through and bubbly.

Notes

  • Can you freeze Pizza Dip?

  • Yes! You can freeze the assembled pizza dip before baking.
  • If you have leftover pizza dip that you would like to freeze after baking, that will work as well. The quality of the frozen dip may not be as high as when it was fresh, but can safely store it for a few months. The higher the fat content in the dip, the better it will freeze. A full-fat cream cheese dip is less likely to separate after freezing.
